Before Reading
1. Introduce the Topic Words: theme park, rides, character, setting, open, book, monster, animatronic, new, movie, area, video game
2. Display the current issue (Advanced or Higher level). Read the title.
3. Preview the article and discuss the topic. Point out photographs or symbols that support the topic.
4. Introduce the Learning Goal: SAY: SAY: Today, your goal is to remember one fact about the article.
5. Review the learning goal with students: I will remember one fact about Universal Epic Universe Theme Park.
During Reading
- Read aloud with fluency and expression.
- Call attention to important events, actions and vocabulary by changing the tone in your voice.
- Comment on people, places and events as you read aloud.
